Open Studios Winter 2020
Our first residents of 2020 opened their studios and sometimes their living quarters to the public.
We were first introduced to Ignacio Acosta’s work in the library, including his work Drums and Drones done within the Sami in Sweden. Then the public were invited to attend a play Un conte pour les jours perdus written by the Argentine dramaturge Agustina Muñoz, performed by students from the Burier Highschool. The Australian composer James Rushford played one of his compositions in his studio while Felicia Atkinson read a passage from her book A Forest Petrifies: Diamond Feedback (Shelter press) with a composition in the background. Andreas Greiner offered a projection of one of his many projects in his apartment and the American artist and performer Brandon Covington gave a performance between their studio and apartment. Benjamin Reynolds and Valle Medina (Pa.LaC.E) shared with us their intriguing discovery in the garden and their analytical work around these curious elements.
Not to mention the tasteful touch that made this evening a success, the pizzas a la Pyloonese! Thank you all for coming!
