Hanne Lippard & Renato Grieco

On Saturday, November 21, Hanne Lippard, a 2023 resident at La Becque, will be joined by South Italian composer Renato Grieco to present Today’s Special, released in October 2026 by Shelter Press, a label founded by former residents Bartolomé Sanson and Félicia Atkinson. This concert follows on from the November 19 concert presented by Lippard in collaboration with Arkbro and Lindwall.

On this album, Lippard’s voice engages in a dialogue with the viola da gamba, the piano, and Grieco’s Wurlitzer, whose compositions mirror the pitch and rhythm of speech. The program alternates between absurd texts, imaginary monologues, and offbeat conversations—ranging from a portrait of a chess-playing computer to a Reddit discussion about black roses. This concert builds on the collaboration the duo has developed during several residencies and visits to La Becque.

Concert at 6:30 PM, Temple de Saint-Théodule in La Tour-de-Peilz. Free admission.
