Matière et Résonance
19-23.07.2021
Les Rêveries Acoustiques, a collective of musicians from the field of improvised and contemporary music, presented their project Matière et Résonance, an exploration revolving around the resonance of acoustic instruments in different materials. Their installations address the senses of hearing, seeing and touching, questioning the material that then emerges in their musical creations.
In their performance, Rêveries Acoustiques accompanied their live performance with several reverb plates to alter/distort the sounds. The Cube was a sound device with transducers integrated on the 4 sides, whose size allowed two people to sit inside. For this project, Rêveries Acoustiques used as a compositional basis the universe of ambient sounds, matching the landscape that the cube intersects and underlines like a frame. The work offers an immersive sound and vibration experience that invites an almost uterine interiority.
After the live performance, the sound installations remained for a while in La Becque’s garden as a memory of the moment.
