The Residency
Located on the shores of Lake Geneva in La Tour-de-Peilz, between Vevey and Montreux, La Becque | Artist Residency welcomes artists of all backgrounds and disciplines, providing an exceptional setting in which to develop their work. Residents benefit from dedicated spaces and infrastructure conducive to the projects for which they have been selected, whether focused on in-depth research or production.
La Becque pays particular attention to projects exploring the increasingly intertwined questions of nature, the environment, and technology. At the heart of contemporary concerns and of growing urgency, these themes extend across all artistic disciplines, with artists uniquely positioned to imagine and articulate alternative relationships to both technology and nature.

Fondation Françoise Siegfried-Meier
La Becque was developed under the auspices of the Fondation Françoise Siegfried-Meier.
A renowned violinist, Françoise Siegfried-Meier (1914–2012) was deeply committed to supporting the artists of her time. Generous and passionate, she wished to provide lasting support to a number of public organizations and institutions, particularly in the arts, by establishing a foundation bearing her name.
Her wish to see her family estate in La Tour-de-Peilz become a place for creativity and exchange is now realized through La Becque, an artist residency conceived in harmony with this unique setting on the shores of Lake Geneva.

Facilities
La Becque offers residents an exceptional creative environment in which to develop their artistic projects. The facilities support both research and experimentation, while providing the equipment needed for the development and production of visual and sound-based work.
Set within La Becque’s extensive garden, the facilities designed by Pont12 Architectes bring together spaces for living, working, and engaging with the public. They include eight artists’ apartments, four additional studios, including a sound studio and ceramics workshop, as well as a large wood workshop. Residents also have access to a library, a lecture and event hall, rooms for short-term stays, numerous communal spaces, and direct access to Lake Geneva.
Use our spaces
In a peaceful setting overlooking the Grammont mountains, with private access to Lake Geneva, La Becque offers a flexible and fully equipped space for conferences, seminars, training sessions, general meetings, and workshops.
The 63 m² room can accommodate up to 30 people and be arranged according to your needs. It includes a kitchen and two toilets, is accessible to people with reduced mobility, and comes with Wi-Fi, a projector and screen, a flipchart, and coffee. Additional options, including refreshments and catering, can be arranged upon request. The room is available for half- or full-day bookings from Monday to Friday.
Limited parking is available on site. La Becque can also be reached from Vevey railway station by bus 201, with services approximately every 10 minutes.
