Biography
Elias Würsten was born in 1991 and graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from EDHEA – the Valais School of Art. In his practice, Elias questions our hierarchical relationship to the objects surrounding us, whose mechanical functioning usually escapes us. Self-taught and guided by a desire to recycle, Elias reappropriates and diverts all sorts of electronic devices to imagine sound installations that are critical, poetic and humorous.

Elias Würsten is also a member of the Sierre-based association of young students and graduates from EDHEA jointly operating and curating Big Bang, a space for reflection and action on exhibition infrastructures and their relationship to the public.
