DIANITA (CH, 1985)
Residency period: November-December 2021
During my residency at La Becque, I was able to enjoy the setting and the tranquility that this place offers to immerse myself in the readings, the listening and my sound experimentations that were going through me at that time. I did not have a precise project on which I wished to work but rather an intention to widen my references and to deepen my knowledge on my own sound intentions. I was then able to take the time to lose myself and to question my practice. In such an absolutely introspective state, I was able to begin to unravel the internal barriers to my own creativity. Bathing in sound experimentation all day long allowed me to finish the residency with the recording of an EP that in its essence was fundamentally imbued with this introspection experienced at the Becque. — dianita
Graduated in visual arts at EDHEA – The Valais School of Art in Sierre, dianita is a sound artist who asserts herself in different formations ranging from popular music to experimental and performative fields (Galsh, Rêve Jaune, Collective ???). She also sometimes performs solo. Freshly immersed in a daily sound practice (since 2019), dianita questions the materiality of sound and its listening. In an intuitive production and experimentation, through synthesis and research of frequency phenomena, she apprehends the sound in a sensitive and sensual contemplation.
