CHEPTEL RECORDS X LA BECQUE
01.02.2019 – 10.02.2019
While La Becque was slowly preparing for the arrival of the first residents of its Principal Program, it was the geneva-based label Cheptel Records that was the first to take over the residency’s spaces with its sixty or so musicians, artists and sound engineers. This unique residency, looking like a “punk summer camp” as Arnaud Robert noted in Le Temps, allowed Cheptel to gather all its artists in the same place for an intensive and prolific session of work and recording.
This residency saw the release of several albums produced by the label, including Le Soleil by the Biel-based band Schade, Live at La Becque by ∞0∞ DREAMERS or Lémancolia, a 28-minute sound ballad that brings together under the name Azur 3000 Laure Betris from Kassette, Perrine Berger from Adieu Gary Cooper, Leonard von Muralt aka Arléone from ChâteauGhetto, Régis himself, Julien Israelian from Gros Oiseau on the musical saw and Leonard Persoz from Roi Angus on the bass. All these albums are available on the Cheptel Records website.
