Brian Roettinger is a Los Angeles-based artist and designer whose work bridges many mediums in the visual world from branding, type design, product design, apparel, installation, exhibition catalogues and magazines. He is specially known for his work in the music industry, from music videos and album packaging to live show creative direction. He worked with bands and musicians such as Jay-Z, Kesha, Childish Gambino, Anderson .Paak, No Age, Florence + The Machine and Mark Ronson to name a few.
Co-founder of the studio Perron-Roettinger, he has a reputation for his innovative approach to design and his style is often described as minimal and bold, using simple shapes, clean lines and strong typography.
Roettinger has won numerous awards for his work, including AIGA and Art Directors Club awards, and he has received three Grammy nominations for best recording package. His work has been featured in various publications and exhibitions, including the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He is also a guest professor at prestigious design schools across the United States and has been invited to speak at design conferences and universities around the world.
